Text Borders Copy and Paste
Text borders are lines and frames made from Unicode symbols, such as ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────, that separate sections in bios, captions, Discord servers and notes. Click a border to copy it. This page lists 18 dividers, 12 bracket frames, 6 box borders and 12 Discord channel prefixes.
Aesthetic dividers copy and paste
The 18 dividers above are single-line separators. There are 3 kinds: line dividers (─ ━ ═ ┈), wave dividers (︵‿ and ꒷꒦) and dotted or sparkle dividers (・, ⋆, ˚). Line dividers come from the Box Drawing block (U+2500–U+257F), which has 128 characters. ︵ and ‿ are a CJK vertical presentation form (U+FE35) and an undertie (U+203F), and ꒷ ꒦ are radicals of the Yi script (U+A4B7, U+A4A6).
A divider of 10 box-drawing characters counts as 10 characters on every platform, because each character is in the Basic Multilingual Plane. Dividers with emoji, such as ☁️, count the emoji variation selector as an extra character.
Bracket frames for names and titles
There are 12 bracket pairs that frame a word, for example 【 𝗡𝗘𝗪 】 or ꒰ ʟᴜɴᴀ ꒱:
| Brackets | Source |
|---|---|
| 【 】 | Black lenticular brackets U+3010 U+3011 |
| 〖 〗 | White lenticular brackets U+3016 U+3017 |
| 『 』 | White corner brackets U+300E U+300F |
| 「 」 | Corner brackets U+300C U+300D |
| 〔 〕 | Tortoise shell brackets U+3014 U+3015 |
| ⟦ ⟧ | Mathematical white square brackets U+27E6 U+27E7 |
| ⦅ ⦆ | White parentheses U+2985 U+2986 |
| ꒰ ꒱ | Yi radicals shy and vep U+A4B0 U+A4B1 |
| ⌜ ⌟ | Top left and bottom right corners U+231C U+231F |
| « » | Guillemets U+00AB U+00BB |
| ╭ ╯ | Box drawing light arcs U+256D U+256F |
| ʚ ɞ | Latin letters closed open e U+029A U+025E |
The CJK brackets 【 】 『 』 「 」 are full-width: each one is as wide as a CJK character, so they leave more space beside Latin letters than ( ) or [ ].
Box borders (multi-line frames)
There are 6 multi-line frames. Replace "text" with your own line after pasting:
Multi-line frames line up only when the app uses a font where box-drawing characters and spaces have matching widths. Instagram and TikTok bios use proportional fonts, so the right edge of a box rarely lines up there. Use open frames (╭ and ╰ without a right side) in bios.
Discord channel dividers
There are 12 prefixes that Discord servers put before channel names, for example ┃・rules or ꒰💬꒱chat:
Discord converts spaces in text channel names to hyphens and capital letters to lowercase, so a prefix like ┃・ followed directly by the name gives the cleanest result. Channel-name rules, display-name rules and Discord markdown are covered on the Discord fonts page.
Borders with other symbols
Many dividers mix lines with stars and hearts. Single sparkles for your own dividers are on the star symbol copy and paste page, and the arrow symbols copy and paste page has ↳ and ➤ for list lines under a divider.
Text border questions
Why does my text border break into a different layout on another phone?
Text borders rely on every character having the expected width. Box Drawing characters (U+2500–U+257F) line up only in fonts that draw them at one fixed width, and the space characters inside a frame are a different width in each app font. A border that lines up on iPhone can drift on Android or on a desktop browser.
Can I use dividers in Discord channel names?
Yes. Discord text channel names accept Unicode symbols such as ┃ ・ ꒰ ꒱. Discord converts spaces in text channel names to hyphens and capital letters to lowercase, so divider prefixes work best without spaces, for example ┃・general.
