Styles with a 0 in the last column use only Basic Multilingual Plane characters. Their UTF-16 count equals their character count, so they come out the same length under either counting method. Bold, double-struck and gothic letters each add 1 extra UTF-16 unit per letter.
BGMI supported fonts
BGMI supported fonts are the styles that the game's own font can draw. Krafton does not publish a list. A style works in BGMI when 2 conditions hold: the rename check accepts every character, and the font that the game uses to draw names contains a glyph for every character. A game that draws names with a font packaged inside the game can show a box for a character that your phone's keyboard displays without trouble.

How to change your name in PUBG Mobile and BGMI
Changing your PUBG Mobile or BGMI name uses a Rename Card from your inventory. Because each rename uses up a card, test the styled name in 4 steps before you use one:
- Build the name above and prefer a style with 0 characters outside the BMP.
- Paste the name into an in-game text field, such as chat, to see it drawn with the game's font.
- Swap any character that shows as a box, then paste again.
- Use the Rename Card, paste the final name and check that it is not cut off before you confirm.
PUBG clan name style
PUBG clan names take the same styled characters as nicknames. A clan tag reads best with a single symbol and one styled word, such as 〆𝗪𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 or 乂 ᴡᴏʟᴠᴇꜱ 乂. Krafton does not publish a clan name length, so check the result in the clan settings box.

Is the PUBG name style the same in BGMI?
Yes. BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) is Krafton's India-only version of PUBG Mobile, and both games show nicknames in the same way. A name style copied from this page works the same way in both games, subject to each game's own name check.
What is the maximum length of a PUBG name?
Krafton does not publish the nickname length on an official page, and third-party guides give conflicting figures. The rename screen enforces the real limit, so pick one of the shortest styles in the table and trim symbols if the name is cut off.
Do I need a Rename Card to use a PUBG name style?
